CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker has all but admitted that the network is truly the “opposition party” to President Trump - telling the New York Times he is “entirely comfortable” with CNN’s Trump-Russia coverage, while brushing off the fact that they were completely wrong about collusion.
“We are not investigators. We are journalists, and our role is to report the facts as we know them, which is exactly what we did,” the unapologetic Zucker wrote in an email. “A sitting president’s own Justice Department investigated his campaign for collusion with a hostile nation. That’s not enormous because the media says so. That’s enormous because it’s unprecedented.”
Except that a CNN producer on hidden camera admitted that the Russia story was all for ratings, and the narrative is “mostly bullshit.”
Then there was CNN’s Van Jones calling it a “nothing burger.”
And in addition to CNN’s hyperpartisan reporting against Trump, they’ve gotten it wrong several times. As Breitbart‘s Josh Caplan notes:
Last December, CNN congressional correspondent Manu Raju reported that Wikileaks emailed Donald Trump Jr. access to information nearly two weeks prior to their public release. However, the network failed to verify the email’s date — September 14th, 2016 — by which time the emails had already been released. In June, CNN reported former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci was being investigated for meeting with a Russian banker ahead of President Trump’s inauguration. Scaramucci denied the claim and CNN eventually apologized for its inaccurate report. CNN Executive editor Lex Haris, editor Eric Lichtblau, and journalist Thomas Frank resigned in shame over the story.
Further, CNN claimed in July that Michael Cohen, President Trump’s personal lawyer, was prepared to tell special counsel investigators that the president possesses advanced knowledge of the Trump Tower meeting between his son, Donald Trump Jr. and a Russia lawyer, and others. Cohen’s lawyer, Lanny Davis, later told CNN had “mixed up” its facts and denied claims that Cohen had any such knowledge about the meeting. -Breitbart
After more than two years of the FBI and DOJ probing every cavity they could, President Trump and his campaign were found to have not colluded with Russia - according to a four-page summary of Mueller’s findings written by Attorney General William Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversaw most of the special counsel’s investigaion.

I was under the impression that a TRUE journalist would investigate the veracity of a story instead of rushing to be the first to report lies.
Journalists present facts naming sources…they don’t report heresy innuendo to foster public opinion against those they dislike. CNN’s Jeff Zucker is responsible for the likes of the story tellers at CNN who are not resourceful, but in truth are biased fictional toadies. That puts Jeff Zucker as the ultimate one responsible for the opinionated stories at CNN that are not bona fide news.

How about verifying your infpo.. Just because someone said it doesn’t make it true. Just because you issue a retraction, its too late, most people won’t hear it. When I was growing up you could believe 85 % of every thing on the news or in news papers. Now, its print/broadcast it anyway. There ARE no professional reporters, just say what you want. People will believe it.

In order to be a legitimate network, you have a responsibility to research, “investigate” news stories before you report on them. That is why you have a legal department. a research unit, people with brains to keep you on the straight and narrow. Purposely screwing the President and the American people because you don’t like someone is so barbaric. If everyone who didn’t like someone acted like this guy and a bunch of others of his ilk, this world would have ceased to exist a long time ago. Grow up!
If your delivering facts that are as you know them, then you should announce, “the facts I am about to give may or may not be the complete truth as they have not been investigated for accuracy.” Facts that you find and do not research to the fullest, are not usually true.
Also, not facts unless true.
i stopped watching CNN when i realized that i could not get the news of the day anymore. They took on this hate trump agenda and stopped telling people what was important in our everyday lives . We could never feel good as Americans again because of the pessimistic views this channel projected. Even though i did not want Obama to be president i accepted him as our president and wished him well because if our president does good our country does good but Obama was a flop and a do nothing . This band of hate mongers led by this Zooker just led a campaign that was plain to see that their hate for trump was more important to them than their love for this country and they stopped reporting the news objectively and Zooker still calls that sorry crew journalists .
