Since Trump’s Europe travel ban went into effect, Americans returning home have been diverted through just thirteen US airports, also as new federal travel requirements and coronavirus ‘enhanced’ screening instituted by President Trump are implemented.
Videos and photos posted to social media reveal a weekend of insanity and packed airport queues in an increasingly ‘high risk’ health crisis.
Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport revealed the most chaotic scenes: thousands standing should-to-shoulder in an airport corridor amid a deadly pandemic, reportedly for at least seven hours before entering the screening area and airport exit.

O’Hare Airport acknowledged Saturday in a public statement that screening and control areas were taking “longer than usual”. The ‘enhanced screening’ includes a temperature check and questions about flyers’ recent travel history.
This is the scene at O’Hare airport. The traveler who took the photo said it’s a 6-hour wait for bags then on to customs for 2-4 more of waiting in shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. Police are handing out water and disinfectant wipes. @fly2ohare #ord #coronavirus #COVID19 pic.twitter.com/UTx9E0nj1s

The airport chaos led to a response from Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker who tweeted that the situation at O’Hare and the massive crowds were “unacceptable”.
Other officials slammed the intensifying situation as creating a serious health risk.

Airport staff at O’Hare and other airports were seen handing out snacks, water, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes to the anxious crowds.

The WSJ interviewed one frustrated passenger who described the Covid-19 screening measures:
Lonnie Corpus was returning from Iceland with friends—retired teachers from Wisconsin. Their flight landed at 6:40 p.m. They made it out at about 11 p.m. The questioning itself, and a quick temperature check, didn’t take long once they made it to the front of the line that snaked around corners.
State and local officials are now urging the federal government to step in and assist with the massive delays and airport infrastructure strain, but whatever drastic action might be taken increasingly looks too little too late.

I am shaking my head in despair. The news casters are voicing their complete horror about lines of people in the airports stating that there is no control of the 6 foot apart spacing required by the CDC.
Come on people - these folks have just got off an airplane on which they were huddled less than 18 inches apart in seats with perhaps 24 inches between rows. And this in a closed air system. So get a grip. Standing in lines can not be any worse.
It is this constant panic driven melee created by the media that just stuns me. Our population is 331,002,651 of which 3666 have contracted the virus and deplorably 68 elderly have died. Nonetheless percentage-wise less than 1% have contracted the disease and way less than that have died. Each death is considered miserable for the families and a sad loss of time for the people now dead. But still we have to maintain a sense of realism and concentration on prevention rather than panic.
We will survive.
We will find measures that will cure those ill.
Right now the target is the elderly (of which I am one)
Many of us may contract the virus and survive.
What must prevail is sheer common sense.
Moreover and above all, let us have FAITH.
Thank GOD for the generous spirits who are trying to take care of the sick and those in quarantine. They deserve medals. I applaud their spirit and giving natures.
This is playing out just as I had predicted more than 3 years ago. Pick any RETARDican administration tell me what good came from any of them, Nixion major corruption and the gas wars, Reagen/Bush multiple recessions, war on labor/unions, stagnated wages, destroyed healthcare, Bush jr. attack on 911, trillions spent on an endless war, citizens united, NSA spying on American citizens, more destruction to our healthcare, now Trumpzilla another major recession coming, the stock market crashing wiping out trillions of dollars in people’s 401’s, hatred and racism exploding, throw in the corona virus and you have mass panic because we have leaders that don’t have any idea what to do or how to shut up the big mouth that’s only making it worse because he thinks he’s a know it all dictator, nobody willing to stand up to the supreme leader, nobody will stop the supreme leader, everybody afraid to upset the supreme leader, must always protect the supreme leader even if it destroy’s America. But when it comes to handing out trillions of free money to the top 1% they don’t have a problem with that calling it good for everybody, funny how nobody wants socialism in America but are willing to accept socialism for the top 1%. I don’t vote Democrat because I want socialism, I vote Democrat because I hate socialism, maybe if more people pulled their heads out of the sand you might be able to see the mistakes you make in the party you support. Stop Voting For Socialism!!!
Wow, I think you have the wrong Administrations in your diatribe. Obama did more damage to this country than any other President in history with his love of Muslims, hate of American businesses, bowing to Saudi King, apologizing for America, fomenting race hate, rejection of the American flag, regulations that killed commerce, hate of the Military that keeps us safe, rejection of Christian religion, etc. There were more people on food stamps than at any other time in history; there was higher unemployment; there was little understanding of American greatness. Now we have a President who loves America and who wants businesses to thrive so that everyone who wants a job can have one. If Capitalism is so bad why do so many people want to come here to live the American dream? This country was founded on unique principles that were unheard of before, and it became exceptional because of opportunities for anyone and everyone to become successful. Socialism will kill all of that.
Your realy stupid
Are you really ignorant enough to believe that people with common sense and can think for themselves will believe your lies. I will fight being controlled and herded like sheep until the day that I die.
