Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg won Monday’s Iowa caucus with 26.9% of the state delegates, followed by Sens. Bernie Sanders in second (25.1%) and Elizabeth Warren in third (18.3%) according to Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) Chair Troy Price, after 62% of statewide precincts were finally counted.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic ‘frontrunner’ if you believe national polls, came in fourth at an embarrassing 15.6%.

That said, Sanders won the popular vote with 27,088 vs. Buttigieg’s 23,666.

The results follow an embarrassing delay in reporting the Iowa caucus results was caused by a broken app developed by ex-Clinton and Obama staffers and bankrolled by a billionaire Buttigieg-backer.

The chaos was met by anger from the candidates’ campaigns - except Buttigieg, who declared victory and got out of dodge.

Former Vice President Joe Biden - who appears to have suffered a massive defeat based on preliminary estimates - effectively threatened to sue the IDP if they released the results before his campaign could see them. Bernie Sanders, meanwhile, reportedly sent 5 lawyers to meet with party officials after he sent operatives to polling locations to gather independent counts.

Meanwhile, Buttigieg has made significant gains at online betting site PredictIt, who is now within striking distance of Biden.

  1. Don’t really care about either because they are both for changing this Great Nation to a socialist third world hellhole.

I guess Mayor Pete’s contribution to the app got him a little leg up, lol.

You know what they say about Karma….it’s raining down on the hate filled destroyer of Patriotism, Harmony, and the Beautiful American Dream.

GOD BLESS PRESIDENT TRUMP! GOD HELP THE USA!

  2. I wonder what the hypocrites known as Democrats will do with the news that Bernie Sanders won the popular vote? Remember how important that was when Hillary won the popular vote? That was their basis for saying she “really won” the election, ignoring the Electoral College. Since this is their second chance to screw Bernie Sanders, it will be interesting to see how quickly they dismiss the importance of the “popular vote.”

  3. Not possible, only 71% of results are in. He is only less than 1.0% over Sanders. Something smells as bad as a corporate pork farm. The American people best take note. This will happen in Nov. 2020. Board Cty, FL and Orange Cty, CA. Are symptoms of what is to come.
The demonicRATS can’t win in a totally fair election. There is always subterfuge and always newly found votes that are demonRat votes.
    Hate this communist/marxist party.

  4. It only means one of the demonrat can’t-I-dates are somewhat popular in IA. Trump will get MORE than the national and IA ‘popular’ vote in 2020. All the demonrats are wasting their time and money. Of course, there always 2024, and maybe Pete will still be around. Doubtful Sanders, Warren, or Biden will be . . .
