Vindman Admits To Violating Chain Of Command, Says Trump Within Rights To Request Foreign Investigation

After several hours of public testimony from NSC official Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and Russia adviser Jennifer Williams, we now know - or have confirmation of the following:

  • Despite being a Ukraine expert, Vindman says he had no idea that Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma, routed over $3 million to accounts tied to Hunter Biden.

  • Vindman went outside the chain of command to report his concerns over a July 25 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky.

  • It’s perfectly normal for a president to ask a foreign leader to open an investigation.

  • Ukraine asked Vindman to be their Defense Minister three times!

Update 4: As the questioning continues, Vindman has once again been forced to admit that when he initially reported his misgivings about President Trump’s behavior in the July 25 call, he didn’t adhere to the ‘chain of command’ when he reported the call to counsel instead of directly to his superiors.

Meanwhile lawmakers have bashed Vindman for insisting that a Republican lawmaker refer to him by his full rank ‘Lt. Col. Vindman’ despite the fact that the Congressman isn’t in the military.

Update: It’s on, with Vindman and Williams delivering their testimony Tuesday morning. One useful nugget has already emerged from the questioning of Vindman, who acknowledged that he hasn’t heard any Ukrainians complaining about allegedly being bullied by the US.

The impeachment circus is back on Tuesday as the public phase of the Dems’ investigation enters its second week with the public testimony of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the top Ukraine specialist on the National Security Council who has objected to President Trump’s alleged decision to press Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate the Bidens.

Vindman isn’t the only one who will testify Tuesday: Kurt Volker, a former special envoy to Kyiv who reportedly told lawmakers in private that the White House decision to withhold military aid was “not significant” and Ukraine’s leaders “never communicated a belief that there was a quid pro quo”, will also appear before the Intelligence Committee.

Two other senior officials, Jennifer Williams, a national security veteran detailed to Vice President Mike Pence, and outgoing NSC staffer Tim Morrison, will also testify.

Dems have been working to impeach President Trump since a “whistleblower” believed to be a CIA analyst complained that Trump had risked undermining US foreign policy to pursue personal political ends. Keep in mind: A rough transcript of a call between Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart that took place on July 25 was released weeks ago, allowing members of the public to make their own decisions about what they think they heard.

All four of these witnesses have already testified before lawmakers in private sessions. Vindman, who has suspiciously advised the government of Ukraine in addition to working full time for the US, was on the July 25 call at the center of the impeachment probe. Volker wasn’t on the call, but he was a part of the shadow campaign led by Rudy Giuliani and the President to press the Ukrainians to investigate Hunter Biden over his links to a gas company suspected of paying bribes and other corrupt activities.

Morrison, meanwhile, has testified that EU ambassador Gordon Sondland in September told a top Ukrainian official that the release of US military aid to the war-torn country would hinge on whether Kyiv opened an investigation into the Bidens.

The witnesses will testify 2 at a time during Tuesday’s most packed hearing to date. Vindman and Williams will kick things off at 9 am, followed by Volker and Morrison around mid-afternoon.

Who, oops “leaked” it to the “whistleblower” in an “intelligence agency” (wink, wink CIA) as Schiffy Schiff stopped the questioning and KNEW who Vindman was talking about. For Vindman to state with a smile that he was asked three times to head the Defense of Ukraine, it really makes wonder, uniform or not as we know Obama gutted the military of REAL military men, where his true allegiance lies. Knowing now that Vindman skipped chain of command, it’s NOT with the USA. Also what was funny, later on in this Schiff show was the Dems bringing up McCain and how Volker said he worked closely with him and was fond of him. Gee, can’t forget the connection McCain had with the Russian fake dossier that Hilary took up for election fodder.

    This is a disgrace to our Country. This is showing the full extent Dems, Globalists, Rhinos, and appointed ambassadors or whatever Vindman is (definitely not Military I would expect from this GREAT Nation) overruling OUR President for their OWN personal plans using OUR tax dollars.

Flynn was lynched in order to make Trump look bad. He only pleaded guilty because they threatened his son. He is a pathatic excuse for a career army vet. And I believe he is gay. There is no whistleblower but there are leakers and he is one of them.

      I believe that Trump knew from the year before about the corruption in Ukraine and other places around the world. Trump studied obama and his administration very closely and was always on fox and friends in the mornings voicing his opinions etc. Yes Trump knew all of this and I believe he set this entire drainage up even though it was a huge risk to his life and family. I think Jeff Sessions was also part of this and his job played out just the way Trump had it planned. All hell is about to break loose and I say hold on tight its going down before the end of this year.

      And then Trump can do his job that we the people elected him to do so and win again in 2020.

  4. After 21+ years in the military, LTC Vindman is still an LTC. For the average commissioned officer that is more or less competent at the job and has NOT had any major conflicts with superiors, they are usually wearing EAGLES (Full Colonel for USA, USMC and USAF - Captain in the USN, O-6 grade).

    But it has already been established that LTC Vindman does NOT follow the chain of command and has already had some “run-ins” with his seniors - see Colonel Hickman’s statements about Vindman - Google Colonel Hickman.

    Is it possible that Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi have described for LTC Vindman a path so he could retire as a full Colonel if he would stand firm that President Trump “DEMANDED” action from Ukraine instead of what the transcripts show that President Trump just asked “can you do a favor”

    I am a former E-7 with 12 years of military experience. Many senior officers would ask me “can you do me a favor” I never took this as a demand. I took this as a task that was needed to be completed in a timely manner that was NOT a significant priority but was of some importance. Since the request was made by senior officers, Commanders or Captains, I took it as they were asking me because I was reliable, thorough and trustworthy. I completed these tasks in addition to the regular work and along with any emergencies that suddenly came up, (and most Vets will identify that there were always a surplus of local and immediate emergencies). (my service evaluations, Fit-reps, early promotions, awards and decorations reflect this).

    I find Mr. Vindman to be Disingenuous to say the least. He is someone that no-one would TRUST to any extent. There are some commissioned officers like that, for enlisted people, their hope would be the guy gets transferred from the command soon.

    It looks like LTC. Vindman will be transferred from his duties in the WH soon since he LEAKED privileged information - he is untrustworthy).
