Former Vice President Joe Biden offered condolences to the Houston, Texas and Michigan in the wake of two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.
The 76-year-old 2020 Democratic candidate for president made the gaffe during a Sunday night speech to high-dollar fundraisers in at the San Diego home of businessman Mark Arabo, referring to the incidents as “the tragic events in Houston today and also in Michigan the day before,” according to the Washington Examiner.
Sunday was not the first time that Biden mixed up names on the 2020 campaign trail. In May, Biden confused former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who left office in 1990, with then-Prime Minister Theresa May.
“You know what, the president’s words have meaning, no matter who he or she is. They are the face of America,” Biden said at the Sunday fundraiser. He added that he does not hold President Trump personally responsible for the shooting, but noted that he has influence on the country.
Biden reportedly also mentioned Trump referring to people crossing the southern border as animals. Politifact in April found that a viral tweet claiming that Trump called all asylum-seekers animals was false. Trump was referring to MS-13 gang members when he said, “These aren’t people. These are animals.” -Washington Examiner
Meanwhile, Biden warned Democrats that we might have “eight more years of Donald Trump” if they lose the 2020 election, apparently forgetting that we’re in the middle of Trump’s first term.
Biden needs to stop and step down. He is making himself look terrible, and digging a hole that he wont be able to get out of.
Biden issues forth with these gaffes, and the liberal dingbats in America say nothing. Trump said the second shooting took place in Toledo, and this one moron I read on yahoo! or some other place I do not remember called Trump every insulting name in the book. This clown expects perfection from Trump in a time when he’s got so many things to do and say, yet Biden can get it wrong twice and he gets a pass. That is correct. I heard that too (on the Joe Pags radio show). I heard they both were really concerned about Global Warming too (oops - “Climate Change”). And one of them (I forget which one) said he intended to vote for Elizabeth (“Pocahontas”) Warren. Real nut-jobs - but hey, “ITS THE NRA’S FAULT!!!”
And back in the 1960s, we used to laugh at “Granny” Clampet (on “The Beverly Hillbillies”) when she sometimes referred to the President being Jefferson Davis. But then again, it was just a TV show, and Granny wasn’t running for President of the United States.
