WASHINGTON - MARCH 09: The seal of the F.B.I. hangs in the Flag Room at the bureau's headquaters March 9, 2007 in Washington, DC. F.B.I. Director Robert Mueller was responding to a report by the Justice Department inspector general that concluded the FBI had committed 22 violations in its collection of information through the use of national security letters. The letters, which the audit numbered at 47,000 in 2005, allow the agency to collect information like telephone, banking and e-mail records without a judicially approved subpoena. A New York man was arrested Wednesday over charges that he planned to blow himself up with a homemade bomb around Election Day in Washington, D.C.

According to NBC New York, police and FBI agents showed up at the home of Paul Rosenfeld in Orangetown, New York Wednesday morning with a search warrant. According to the news station, Rosenfeld had earlier told a reporter in Pennsylvania about his plans — which were rooted in his negative feelings about where the country is headed.

Police said Rosenfeld planned to kill himself but did not intend to hurt anyone else.

The divisive political atmosphere hanging over the nation’s capital has led to threats against politicians and members of their families in recent months. Several Democrats have called for the general public to confront and harass Republicans in public settings, which has resulted in shouting matches across the nation.

In June 2017, a gunman fired at several Republican lawmakers on an Alexandria, Virginia baseball field. Police shot and killed the gunman. Four people were wounded, including Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., who nearly died.

  1. Has the media by distorting and withholding facts, particularly withholding positive news caused mental anguish in people. Causing people to consider doing irrational acts of violence?
Do politicians who encourage violence and resistance against their political opponents and the people, who support them, promote democracy. Or do they demonstrate immaturity, lack of common sense, and out right disrespect for anyone with a different opinion?

Seems to me that these immature people with hate in their hearts seem to think they are the only ones, who know what is right and how to solve it. Sounds like Hitler, Stalin, Marx, Mussolini, Khrushchev, and all the other dictators the world has seen. Who by the way represent nothing but evil.

Where do you fall, are you tolerant, respectful, and consider all the facts?
Or, are you reactionary and do not weigh all the facts, circumstances and possible outcomes
    before launching into a tirade?

Hopefully, most of US are tolerant and respectful, and not irrational

  2. Right is there any answers for why the police in certain states refuse to uphold the pledge they made to keep law an order at bay? Take Portland Oregon, they were told to not disturb blacks in the recent bash among citizens, but take there wrath out on Conservatives. It was difficult to watch our Police not confirming to what a Policeman is really all about. Is “MOB RULE” a thing of the future, because it should not be allowed anywhere, any time, or against anyone. This is Socialism at it’s finest. Is this what we want America…?????
